Here, in the 16th century, a refuge of stone and light came to life: a harmonious ensemble of rural buildings and fairy-tale trulli that seem to have stepped out of a forgotten story.

As with many Apulian masserie, time has shaped these structures according to the rhythm of the land and the seasons. The name “Cervarolo” preserves the memory of the deer that once roamed the dense woodlands of the Murgia, when nature was still the absolute ruler of these hills. Today, Masseria Cervarolo is an authentic rural retreat, where elegance lies in simplicity and time seems to slow down to welcome those who arrive. Within the masseria, sheltered by silence and devotion, stands a small church built in 1798 and dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrows. A vividly coloured Baroque altar, ancient frescoes and numerous ex-votos tell the story of a deep faith shaped by hope, waiting and gratitude.

Our gardens are not designed, but grown in harmony with the natural rhythm of the landscape, intertwining native plants with the intense scents of Mediterranean scrub. Walking among centuries-old olive trees and dry-stone walls is an invitation to slow down, breathe, and feel part of this place.

Caring for the environment is, for us, an essential daily gesture: we do not use chemical products in our gardens and, to reduce our impact, the Masseria is powered by a photovoltaic system that covers its entire energy needs with clean, renewable energy.
